Ever introduced a friend to another friend then find friend takes over and behaves as if they have known your friend longer.

Yes. It's annoying.

runningincircles · 14/02/2012 17:29

Yes, it is very annoying. But on the plus side. It is better than friends not getting along.

ifeelloved · 14/02/2012 17:30

Yes. Years ago lost 2 (I thought) good friends in exactly this situation

Fluffpuff · 14/02/2012 17:58

Don't mind them getting on its when one of them seems to relish taking over, don't think I like her any more.

Friend theft, it happens and is hurtful but you just have to suck it up.

moonblushtomato · 16/02/2012 11:52

What you have to remind yourself as well is that the woman who has "taken over" will have her own issues/insecurities too and if she's not a particularly nice sort of person then she's probably very unhappy.

The ones that make all the trouble are usually unhappy.

Yep! When I was eight years old.

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 16/02/2012 20:10

This happened to a friend of mine; she introduced a friend of hers to a group of 3 friends that she met up with regularly. Next thing the friend and the other 3 were meeting up and excluding/bitching about my friend

jenrendo · 16/02/2012 20:12

Yes I have been 'friendknapped'. It's not nice and very hurtful :(
