Five top reasons why your DH/DP loves you

Following on from BettySuarez's lovely thread, what are the top five reasons why you think (or know) your DH/DP loves you?

OP posts:
Althalus · 18/01/2012 13:17

My Dh says his top 5 are:

  1. I am hot, sexy and extremely fuckable.
  2. I'm beautiful.
  3. I'm always there when he needs me.
  4. I don't spend all his money (I obviously need to rectify that).
  5. I never complain about what he cooks me.

There you go Smile

MidnightFeaster · 06/03/2012 23:21

Bump.

Thanks for posting, Althalus. I forgot all about this until recently, when I got talking to someone about the other thread.

I'm really curious to know others' DPs'/DHs' top five ... anyone else?

From a recent conversation with dp:

  1. I have a strong set of morals and stick to them even when it would be easier not to.
  2. I am strong and independant and he can lean on me if he needs to (psychologically speaking).
  3. I want many of the same things as him in terms of where we live and how we live.
  4. I am a good mother to dd.
  5. I am kind and loving towards him.

Tbh, I might prefer this list was a bit more romantic, but I suppose I'll take what I can get.

MidnightFeaster · 07/03/2012 19:46

Thanks for posting, attheendoftheday. Not romantic, maybe - but important stuff and nice that he recognises these things.

Anyone else's DH/DP got a top five?

Because I am me
Because I am me
Because I am me
Because I am me
Because I am me

MidnightFeaster · 07/03/2012 20:04

DH said there's only one reason- because I'm me :)

bumbleymummy · 07/03/2012 20:15

I see Rabid's DH had the same idea! :)

I don't know about 5, but the ones I remember are:

  • I'm independent and know my own mind
  • I am intelligent
  • I am curvy (I've put on 3 dress sizes since we met, but he still thinks I'm gorgeous. That makes me very happy)
KatieScarlett2833 · 07/03/2012 21:44

1 I'm "braw"
2 We're compatible
3 I'm trustworthy
4 I'm generous
5 I'm low maintenance

Verbatim, just now.

I'm a car

Sad
YankNCock · 07/03/2012 21:45

DH is perplexed.

'Five?'

'Because you are The Sweetie?' (his nickname for me)

'Ok, five:'

  1. I am Caring
  2. I am Funny
  3. I am Smart
  4. I am Cute
  5. I am a sex goddess

(I am 21 weeks pregnant and it's been a while. I think that's why he's said the last one!)

LauraShigihara · 07/03/2012 21:52

According to DH, I am

  1. Clever because I have better general knowledge than him
  1. Beautiful he is the only man alive who thinks this
  1. Sexy (this is true...)
  1. A very good mother
  1. Organised.

Not bad for 29 years of marriage, eh?

PrincessWellington · 07/03/2012 21:55

Cos
I'm lovely, beautiful, sexy - are you putting this on mumsnet? Why? Umm I dunno because you are you. dunno anymore. Grin

Moreshoesthanimeldamarcos · 10/03/2012 16:23

Asked him last night.

  1. Your intelligence
  2. Your beauty
3.Your honesty
  1. The way you love me
  2. Your sexiness
Grin
Yama · 10/03/2012 17:34

Okay, his words:

"Independence of thought
Generosity of spirit - you are kind and think of others.
Clever, no not that - I know lots of clever people.
Shared outlook"

I'll get back to you if he comes up with another two.

BettyPerske · 10/03/2012 20:13

Oh crikey. I've absolutely NO idea. He's never even said I'm pretty, so that's probably not one of them.

First reason he gave me was 'You make a nice cup of tea'. This was in the context of establishing that a mutual attraction was brewing, alongside said tea I suppose. He couldn't think of anything better than that I guess Smile

I know he likes various body parts. He is vocal about that..
He says I'm a 'good girl'. (think he means honest, well meaning etc?)
Apart from that I really don't know.
Oh yes I do, he loves me for letting him go and watch football at the pub whenever he wants to, and have a few pints. Apparently that to him is something other-worldly in terms of how much he loves me for it.

He's easy to please.

MedusaIsHavingABadHairDay · 10/03/2012 20:28

I just asked, and got...
"you are still hot' {not bad after 24 years and 4 kids...}
'You make me laugh'
'You clean' Confused

at that point her ran out of things to say and went back to his paper ... just as well I KNOW he loves me really!

hmmmmmmmmm · 10/03/2012 20:42

Poor DH when put on the spot could only come up with three:

-I'm a god cook
-I keep a nice house
-I'm good at organising the children

That's not good is it? Bless him he does love me though and he really doesn't see any of those jobs as "mine". He's just grateful that I do my share - he's really very good at doing his

He did go on to say he just does, as if it would be weird not too and that I'm his best friend and soul mate Smile

RedHotPokers · 10/03/2012 20:52

DH apparently loves me because:

I'm clever
I'm funny
I've got a sexy body
I'm confident
I'm supportive

{just like to say that I am not necessarily in agreement with the above (DH has rosetinted glasses!!), but am very flattered nonetheless}

Incidentally I love DH because:
He is funny
Handsome
Strong
Cuddly
He makes my worries go away.
