Involves batteries and a certain fluffy animal - sorry, maybe crude but genuine problem!

Ive put this in relationships as i didnt know where else to put it! Sorry if this is crude but its genuine
Dp bought me a rampant rabbit (vibrator)as a little suprise for xmas. Things have been busy and unbelivably 'civilalised' lately so i am very pleased that he thinks enough of us to remember that there is still an US, iyswim.
Anyway, its a bit on the large side and it kind of wiggles around. I have used it a few times, because a)its good fun and b) to express my gratitude to dp - anyway, it leaves me feeling a little sore the next day and today i woke with the tingling feeling of thrush and now i have that achey tummy feeling like just before a period and i am bleeding a little, but its very pinky not like when you have your period. Am so sorry this is a bit crude but i was wondering if anyone else had one /experienced similar feelings/knew of any dangers etc etc I dont want to cause myself any damage!!!

Nobody?? I knows it awful to comment on.

yeeeeow. am too inhibited to use a rabbit myself, so no direct personal experience, but I know my friend got a mild vaginal infection from her vibrator (not quite sure how, whether it was because she didn't wash it between uses or something?). Are you sore because you need more lubrication do you think?

jco · 08/01/2006 21:50

hi Nixz, I too have a rampant rabbit which my best friend bought as a birthday present for me!! Apparantly she and her husband swear by it!!

i know its difficult to talk about without feeling embarressed! The only thing i really know is that you have to be really careful to clean it properly after each use making sure you don't use anything that might cause you irritation. The only other thing i can think of from the tummy ache and bleeding you describe is that you might have a bit of a water infection as i suffered with these symptoms when i had one. Apparently a sudden change in sexual activity (ie more frequent or more athletic sex)can cause it because it can irritate certain parts. i had 3 water infections in a row last month because after being single for nearly 3 years i met a guy and... ahem... well you know what i mean, it had been a while

hope this helps hun

Nixz · 08/01/2006 21:50

Thankyou for your reply - was beginning to feel a bit of a weirdo!
Im not sore as in 'friction' sore, its like an achey sore like a period cramp. Also, i did wipe it over before i used it, but its a strange rubber! god how awful is this!!

switch the revolving function off and just use the ears, and make sure it is cleaned thoroughly after each use

lou33 · 08/01/2006 21:53

you can get special wipes for vibrators

Nixz · 08/01/2006 21:54

Thanks jco - sorry to ask, but have you or your friend ever experienced any problems with your rabbit? I mean, after you have used it do you get a little tender?

OP posts:
TambaTheDragonSlayer · 08/01/2006 21:54

nixz,

Did you use it internally? If so, then it may have 'hit' your cervix which can cause it to bleed a little and mixed in with normal discharge it can appear pinkish. This may also explain the achey feeling. It can happen during sex too if you are a little over enthusiastic. It wont cause any damage, just be a little more careful next time HTH

(PS used to sell them when I worked for ann summers and had to answer this question a couple of times so dont be embarassed )

NotQuiteCockney · 08/01/2006 21:55

It may well be an UTI. Are you expecting a period? Have you had a UTI before? If you have any extra friction around the urethra (which is between clitoris and vagina), it can irritate it and cause these sorts of problems.

Nixz · 08/01/2006 21:55

lou33 - do you have problems with the twirly part of it? My first thoughts when i opened it and put the batteries in was - omg - this is some sort of medievel torture!!!!
Its quite brisk in its movements!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nixz · 08/01/2006 21:57

Tamba - i have been told that i have a very short vaginal canal (god how sexy!!!!!) so maybe you are right as the ears kind of distract you from anything else thats going on!
Thankyou!

Nixz · 08/01/2006 21:58

Tamba - out of interest, you say you used to sell them, did you ever hear of any injuries etc from the use of them?

OP posts:
Nixz · 08/01/2006 21:59

Notquitecockney - just had a period, had a uti and the achey feeling isnt that intense, just kind of 'there' so hopefully it isnt that seriuos. Thanks for your reply hun x

I did get a little sore after the first few times but i think it was just because i had never used one before (i'm so embarressed!!) I tend to concentrate on the 'ears' now

Nixz · 08/01/2006 22:04

ok thanks jco - your dismissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God what a conversation!

OP posts:
lou33 · 08/01/2006 22:09

no, no problems, but it might just not be for you, it might be hitting your cervix, so i would turn that bit off

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 08/01/2006 22:09

I personally didnt hear of anyone being injured by them and as far as I am aware the company didnt have any problems with complaints of this nature (careful wording there )

Vibrators are said to be safe in pregnancy too (again, this is the company line, not my opinion, which is that i have never really thought about it) when used with care - ie not bashed up there with a hammer!

Also, depending on what type of rabbit you used, these can be unrealistically big and wide so gone in deeper?? dont know just thinking out loud iyswim.

I really dont think you will have done any damage but if you are worried you should see your GP.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 08/01/2006 22:11

BTW just so you know, I have the same problem with a certian vibe and also occasionally in sex and checked with my gp who said it was normal (incase you are wondering the vibe was called tornado - a bit of advice, never shove that up cause i dont care what the pagaging says - it bloody hurts!)

Nixz · 08/01/2006 22:15

Thanks Tamba!
I have the platinum rabbit - the 'igher class vibrator!!!!!!!!!!!
Im chuffed to know that they dont appear to cause any problems, and its just the fact that im a wuss and maybe not a kinky sex goddess that dp obviously thought of me!
I will keep up that pretense as i dont want to shatter my beloveds expectations however i am thinking that after the advise this evening i am going to be in favour of THE EARS!

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 08/01/2006 22:21

The platinum is huge! Be careful next time

Also, theres no point pretending something works for you if it really doesnt iyswim. Maybe you could tell dh you prefered a real man? work on his ego lol

Cause I used to work for them I have about 20 vibrators but only one gets used regually. This shocking pink tornado one i mentioned earlier although it hurts if you use it internally and it rubs like hell if you use it as a vibrator, it is fab to lie across dhs stomach when I am on top cause if i lean forward it just lightly presses against me. So try playing around with it and see what works for you

jco · 08/01/2006 22:27

stick with the ears and you'll be fine hun!!!

Nixz · 08/01/2006 22:30

thank yooooouuuuuuuu - tamba - youve picked up some real tricks - good for you girly! Cheers hun
Im gonna stick to the ears for now!
