NEW ASPERGERS PARTNERS SUPPORT GROUP!

AspieGroup · 07/12/2011 12:34

I am a long-term mumsnetter (name changed for this) and I have recently been involved in setting up a new support group for partners of people with Aspergers.

We meet in Halifax, West Yorkshire on the first Friday of each month. You can send me a Private Message (by clicking on my username) for more details.

I know there are lots of Aspie partners on mumsnet so if any of you live up north, you'd be very welcome to join us. :)

I think it's amazing there isn't already a national network of such groups.

You are MILES away from me. Grin

AspieGroup · 07/12/2011 13:16

Hi Cussandroid

There are very few groups in the country, I've only heard of them in London, Loughborough and Newcastle so far!

So it's worth people travelling to Halifax if they're near enough. Xmas Smile

There really should be more, though.

Definitely a potential growth area.

eandz · 08/12/2011 11:46

Hello!

I don't live up north, but I have a Dh with AS. Our son has a dx of asd though.

AspieGroup · 08/12/2011 13:31

Hi eandz

Sorry you're not near enough to join us. There's a long running Aspie Partners support thread with Mrs Asp on here, have you seen it?

x

It's taken me 30 years to realise I'm an aspie spouse! I'm in the south but would love to share stories/support with other aspie spouses.

Derklugehans · 13/07/2012 23:55

Have been posting recently her wondering if BF has some qualities of AS. I'm certain he is not EA as has been suggested nor is he a sociopath.

First time posting a link so no idea if it's worked. Soz. x

Here not her. Whoops.
