Successful dating tips - and how long before meeting!

So, I've taken the plunge and joined POF, having previously tried Match and Guardian Online (and eventually getting bored!). I'm chatting to three potentially nice guys. One contacted me yesterday and after a couple of emails, we ended up having a thirty minute chat. I wouldn't normally rush into that but seemed like a good idea at the time and we got on so well on the phone it was lovely. Anyway, my question is - once you are actually chatting with the guy, how long should you keep chatting before meeting? How often do you think you should contact each other for it to be successful? A friend of mine gets into texting/phoning massively straight away and then it all just seems to fizzle. So I'm thinking taking time is better? Anyway, if any of you have any tips, that would be great.

Hi Ginny you should hop on the dating thread in this forum :) loads of advice on there!

Personally I wouldnt waste too much time chatting. Clicking with someone online doesnt automatically mean you will in person and who wants to spend a few months of chatting only to meet and find there is no spark?

I'd say meet someone within a couple of weeks of chatting.
