Can someone explain to me what she's thinking???

Ok. Having never been in a situation like this before I'm finding myself shocked. In breif, friend was dating this guy since last November. He at the time was living with a girl who was in love with him but he didn't feel the same and they had been friends for a long time. He moved out in August after saying he was for about 4 months. 2 weeks ago my friend was told by someone at college who knew the roommate that her boyfriend had been sleeping with the other girl the whole time. When my friend approached her boyfriend he lied about it twice, then said the last time had been August when he moved out. My friend, who is 28, was devastated. Since then he's been trying very hard to get get back. She told me yesterday she's going to give him another chance.

I just don't get it. She's a pretty girl, young, and always seems to get herself hurt. I am finding it really hard to understand where she is coming from ( I know I don't have to understand but I can't help but feel she's forcing herself to be a victim again, and that she has no self respect). She says she loves him and he's sorry blah blah blah. Why?

None of your business unfortunately. I don't mean that harshly but she doesn't need to explain her reasons to you.

FWIW I would be thinking the exact same thing if it was my friend aswell.

28 is a bit of a daft age. Still young enough to believe the rubbish about soulmates and Love Conquers All, and also old enough to be starting to flap about one's body clock, so any couple-relationship has to be The One and be frienziedly worked on rather than binned if the bloke's not up to much.
But there is nothing you can do to make her see sense, she'll have to grow up in her own time.

I'm not asking her though because I know it's not my business. That's why I've asked here. When she told me I said its her decision, which it is. I just wish someone could explain to me why people let other people (men and women) do this!!!??

Because they haven't learnt enough lessons to prevent them from saying NO WAY JOSE!! Some people's pain threshold is greater than others. Glad to hear yours is low she could probably save a great deal of pain, but she just has to do it her way. We all do/did.
