Escaped from abusive relationship

Just wanted to say thank you to all those people who offered support when I needed it. I was called 'trestired' and I have been out of the relationship for 5 weeks. Homeless. Lost job. Sad about the end! You cling on in hope that they will change, but, he didn't. I've just had to man up. It's all a bit rubbish but I really appreciate the time that people put into helping me. After I accidentally found out that he had set up a mumsnet account (WTF????) I had to log off and felt very guilty that people had helped me and didn't get the ending. I don't know what the ending is but it doesn't involve me being verbally abused or in fear of my life... Thank you to those who helped.

glad to hear that you are safe, life might be crap now but without this man in your life day to day things can only get better, good luck and hope you find the happiness you deserve

I remember your thread. Glad to hear you are free of the abuse now. I'm sorry to hear about the lost home and job, though.

What RL support do you have?

TheLastChocolate · 02/12/2011 10:09

So glad to hear you're free.

Sending you >hugs< which is very un-MNy.

Thanks

(((((((huge Houdini HUGS))))))) Well done for getting out.

I will take you to task on one thing though. 'Man up?' Honey anyone can MAN UP, but it takes someone truly special to WOMAN UP!

Agree with issey, it may be crap right now, but it won't be forever, in fact anytime now you will realise that whatever the price of freedom, it's worth paying.

You now have HOPE. You never had that before, when you were with him.

Keep posting, come over to the Emotional Abuse Support thread, there are a ton of us there, come talk about it, come cry, commiserate and eventually celebrate?

You are very far from being alone, you are among friends now. Lean on us?
