Mother at it again

just occured to me yesterday that my mother has seen my DD2 and 1 precisely once in the last 2 months. She is a 15 minute walk away. she is at my sisters 3 days a week every week. she has no interest that I can discern in my youngest. DD2 barely speaks to her as she is a stranger in real terms. she speaks to dh pops every sunday afternoon on skype. they make the time to talk to her and she loves talking to them.
Question: How hard is it to give a fuck?

I can completely sympathise with you. My sisters are the same with me & my DS...not even a text. We go months without contact. I no longer have any involvement with them...I am not suggesting you do the same.
Have you spoken to your mum about this.. How it upsets you etc?

what is your mum like when she does see them? does she make her apologies for being busy or make you feel like she doesnt want to be there or just behave normally? She may not see the inbalance with your sister as a problem. she may wonder why you dont visit her more.

Maybe she thinks your an incredibly strong self sufficient person who she mistakenly thinks doesn't need her. You need to tell her that you do, she'd probably like it Grin
