AHHHH. Anyone elses DH/DP suffering from this? DH is quite a moody person but he has been particularly bad these hols.

I couldn't find my visa card yesterday morning (just misplaced) and he completely went off on one and hasn't spoken to me since!!!!!!

That's not grumpy old mannish, that is childish and irrational, and you need to tell him so!

phew! Thought I was all alone then!!! What! So has he got GOMS (grumpy old man syndrome) AND
ICS (irrational child syndrome) as well.

I am doomed.

That's why I married a younger man .

My last bf before him was 8 years older than I am - I'm 34 now but was 31 when I went out w/him.

He was already like Victor Mildrew and proud of it.

I found it entirely unappealing.

Yes, my dh is. Always sees the negative in things. Even when we're going out for a nice evening with friends, he'll moan about how tired he is etc. etc. and how he wants to get home early as though he wants to ruin a good time before it starts. It's driving me mad.

Mine is getting worse as he gets older. The time when it really hit home was when he went off on one about the amount of loo roll I was using (you can imagine my reaction ). 10 years ago it wouldn't even have crossed his mind...

Apparently this is a classic symptom of men getting older. Some buy the motobike, others discover the gym and hair dye, others truly believe that they are living amongst idiots, and others develop Victor Meldrew-like tempers.

Why can't they just grow moustaches like we do?
