Why am I like this when The Upgrade is being nice?

The Upgrade has been texting as he's not here tonight.

He's been saying really nice sweet things but instead of feeling warm and fuzzy and nice inside, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Why do I feel like this and what can I do to stop it?

Anyone calling me cute would have to have a death-wish. Not to mention be blind and/or lying

But he does sound nice and clearly loves you to bits.

ahhh ... okay, if you're spilling self-doubts and he's trying to boost you up, that's different!

Reality - that's lovely to hear (how's the wee man doing?)

I know I doubt myself and get all weird about it - I suppose I just need to get over it somehow, I hope like everyone has said it'll come with time.
