about a thread about toxic families seems to have gone this morning.

Was it pulled? Did something dastardly happen last night that I missed, or did it just quietly slip away? What I don't understand is why that one is gone, but tuther one is still there.

Anyone?

That thread was measured and constructive and I personally shared some personal stuff because people were trying to unpick complex, conflicting situations.

I can't find it. Why has it gone?

Well I'm all for waking up early, and fannying around on MN while the rest of the world sleeps, but actually gettin up and doing anything constructive that involves going out of the house, NO NO NO. This is why my children have always been discouraged in the most vociferous terms from ever getting involved with a horse. Good job I didn't have a girl - it might have been a lot harder then.

So we will have to wait for everyone else to get up to solve the Bibbity thread mystery. Perhaps that angry person on the other thread took umbrage.

It is frustrating though isn't it.

In spite of very strong opinions it was mostly being discussed rationally but disappears. Some wankers being sanctimonious and thick about teaching your feotus to read makes you a Better Parent and it stays there forever.

The virtue of leaving the house is coffee and wifi. Dh is up at home with shit hurling puppy and the kitchen to clean Grin

Oh kick your dh. That is not on.
Get your hair done and a face iron. That isn't a real thing but it should be. I would buy one. I have saginess encroaching parts of my body that were fairly taut just weeks ago. Life is mean.

You will soon relax when the move is over. It's all the preparation that must be draining

Oh yes. I am reading it now. I see what you mean. Although I would not put it past somebody on MN to eventually come up with the cunning idea of teaching a foetus to read. Can't prepare 'em early enuff for brilliance and world domination yer know. Life's a competition and all that.

In regard to the deleted thread of which you speak (posh eh?), spies inform me that some invaders got very unpleasant to one particular, highly respected poster. (Take a peek at the EA thread.) Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately for my blood pressure, I did not see what they said, just that it was nasty and personal.

Re the early reading debate, my mum would no doubt have had me reading in the womb if the technology existed in those days.

I have nothing to add, other than I agree about baby signing.

Many of DD's first words had "you sign" in front of them (cheers Mr. Tumble) but her hands stayed perfectly still.

I think that 'thread about a thread' thing is a bit of a piss poor excuse. It was allowed to stand for a couple of days with thread about a thread very clearly in the title.
