DH is OBSESSED with his celebrity crush

I know everyone says its ok to have a crush on a celeb but I feel DH goes way over the top with his and he's starting to get to me. He's constantly going on about her, even mentions her in the bedroom and on romantic weekends away. It's getting beyond a joke. I'm not out of line to tell him to curb it a bit am I?

I love Jo Brand too.

He says stuff like I should have my hair shorter and dyed black. He goes on about Jo being able to pull off the larger woman look better than most people, if he's trying to compliment me he says I look a bit like her. etc.

Can you formulate exactly what you would like, OP? And in what way exactly you are upset by this?

I mean, clearly this is upsetting you on some level. Hopefully he can hear that and respect it, as long as you know what it is you want to ask of him.

(Last time I had a celebrity crush, my DP at the time would just tease me about it, and even bought me the action figure of said celebrity. But then, neither of us felt it was threatening our relationship in any way.)

Perhaps he means he wants you to have more self-confidence?

Jo Brand is lovely IMO, but I wouldn't like my DH to obsess about anyone in the way you describe.
