I had an email at 2am all it said was 'do you hate me?'

I havent responded, I am a little annoyed by it because I was really hoping he wouldnt contact me.

He was obviously sat feeling sorry for himself.

I just needed to write down how I feel so I am less likely to want to reply.

I hate one liners like that, they're so transparent. Note that the question relates entirely to him.

Maybe his next message will actually, y'know, mention you a bit?

And you're doing entirely the right thing by not replying. Ignore, delete, ignore.

ItsMeAndMyPuppyNow · 01/09/2011 09:31

Do not reply.

Change your SIM card.

Pretty transparent call for narcissistic supply, that message, isn't it?

BalloonSlayer · 01/09/2011 09:41

"who is this?"

Grin

Sorry, the others are right, do not reply at all.

craftyknickers · 01/09/2011 09:44

I am so relieved that you think it is a predictable reply.

Lundy's book arrived this morning so will be reading that to give me a little insight into his behavior so that I know what he does is normal for a an abusive man. I am hoping that the book will give me a bit more strength in case he contacts me again.

Getting the book was a good idea. One thing: you can be tempted to reply to messages from an abusive ex for reasons that don't seem too bad at first: anger, the need for an explanation, desire to defend yourself against accusations or to set the record straight. But it will trip you up and put you in a place you don't want to be- tangled in communication with them again. It's not worth it. Stay strong :)

HerHissyness · 01/09/2011 18:10

Come post on here, not to your email, don't email him back, don't reply, don't react.

ImperialBlether · 01/09/2011 18:19

That's making me laugh, realising how much that question is about him. Ignore, delete and block.

craftyknickers · 01/09/2011 18:47

Havent replied :) Dont intend to...I know he is just angry that i havent gone crying and begging for him to take me back. He hasnt seen me this strong!

Also, had all my hair chopped off, really spikey, completely changed how i look. It is back to how it was before i met him. He always said i looked stupid and i am too fat to have it like that. Now i know it was because he didnt want me getting any attention. Half a day and ive had lots of compliments and a few looks :)

feeling very chuffed with myself now
