But he is away for the week (hooray!)

He has left for a training week for a job he wants. He has been really difficult recently and I am welcoming the break.

He left at 4am this morning and sat up in bed and said goodbye, I said "give us a hug then" He groaned and said "I've just got up, I'm not coming down again" and stomped off.
I lay there surprised and heard him come up again to get his shoes. I said "were you going to go without kissing me goodbye?"
He huffed and puffed and finally bent over making a huge fuss about his back aching, gave me a cat's arse kiss and stomped off again.

He just called to say he had made it to Gatwick and complained about the M25 being shut. I asked if he wanted to say goodmorning to the kids and his response was "No, not really"

Grrrrrrrr!

I hope he finds his inner bluebird of happiness if he passes this course.

Oh dear, I would not be impressed !
I make sure DP kisses both me and DD every morning before he leaves for work, even if there is a risk of waking us up.
Hope he comes back a bit happier

Don't you just love 'em - NOT!!!!

I love when mine is away too!

Although as he does most of the cooking I welcome him back usually!

We are really short of cash at the moment and so DH says he can't afford to keep phoning home from a hotel. I told him to call us on his mobile, but last night he told me he had run out of credit.
I am certainly not waiting by the phone all week, but I wonder if he will bother to call at all?

can't you phone his mobile?

rummum · 04/12/2005 18:05

can't he email you??

noddyholder · 04/12/2005 18:08

That is so sad .Doesn't he miss the kids?

SpaGlorytoBlog · 04/12/2005 18:13

I've told him to email me if he can. I will phone him for sure, but wanted to see how long it would take for him to!
The kids and I had a lovely day today, I know that DD will miss him, and DH will miss being at home too, but I think "family" is nothing but an irritation and a burden to him

Maybe the break will make him realise.

It would upset me too so my sympathy is with you.

Well, his mobile is switched off...At least I tried
