erm. no. Why would you cry? Assuming it is not abuse of any kind, of course.

thisisyesterday · 25/07/2011 22:16

no... sorry.

5inthebed · 25/07/2011 22:16

I have done once or twice, usually when very hormonal.

StitchingMoss · 25/07/2011 22:17

Yes, I have done. Overwhelmed feeling - can't really describe it! Blush

Bumpsadaisie · 25/07/2011 22:18

I understand this - sometimes I feel really emotional/overcome (ahem) and the tears leak out! Usually when its been particularly close.

Ingles2 · 25/07/2011 22:18

yes,but especially when I'm pregnant I find. Heightened hormones and emotions I guess...it's just a release like laughing.

MrsHicks · 25/07/2011 22:19

Yes, I do sometimes. It's just a release of emotion. Not necessarily a bad crying. Google 'release emotion crying after sex' - it's totally normal. (Which isn't to say everyone does it, just that you're really not abnormal if you do)

KindKim · 25/07/2011 22:22

Yeah i used to with my ex h. But he wasn't capable of making love and was obsessed with having sex, even if i didn't want to.

I understand other responses are about feeling overwhelmed in a good way rather than a bad way.

Are your tears, happy tears or sad tears?

StitchingMoss · 25/07/2011 22:22

Very much happy tears.

fuzzybunny · 25/07/2011 22:24

It has happened a few times now, only since having babies. No control over it, but would kind of like to no why as this time DH looked at me like I must be having an affair or something to be getting so upset in such an unusual time. Confused

OP posts:
Ivortheengine8 · 25/07/2011 22:25

No but my DH quite often gets a fit of the giggles! Blush

5inthebed · 25/07/2011 22:26

Grin Ivor

fuzzybunny · 25/07/2011 22:27

I think happy tears, or sad that it's over.

OP posts:
fuzzybunny · 25/07/2011 22:29

I like the release of emotion idea.

Ivortheengine8 · 25/07/2011 22:35

Grin 5inthebed - I thought he was really weird the first time he burst out laughing after he had ....

Can make you paranoid so I wouldnt do it personally !

wileycoyote · 25/07/2011 22:44

Hi fuzzybunny, I do sometimes.
It has only happenned with my current partner though and I didn't know what was happenning at first. It does feel like a rush of released emotion, I feel overwhelmed with the emotion - feeling all spiritual/vulnerable/overcome with the closeness.
I am a bit weird perhaps..

spudulika · 25/07/2011 22:54

Used to happen to me. Not any more - sex not so intense physically these days. Sad

Do still get tearful sometimes, but it's usually because I get overwhelmed by love for DH. Think about all our years together and hope for many more.

madonnawhore · 25/07/2011 23:04

Yeah once in a while if I've had an especially intense orgasm I find that tears are welling up in my eyes. It's just some weird limbic response. Overwhelmed with emotion is the right way of putting it. When it happens I usually feel like laughing euphorically at the same time.

In fact sometimes when I orgasm I do laugh euphorically too, without the tears.

Sorry for TMI.

ladylush · 02/08/2011 22:35

Yeah lots of times post orgasm but only after intercourse (as opposed to post other generated orgasms)

ShowOfHands · 02/08/2011 22:37

Once. My one time achieving an orgasm. I was so overwhelmed I sobbed frantically. DH assumed he'd broken me somehow.

GreenTeapot · 02/08/2011 22:41

I should really namechange ... yes, me too, only with DH, and it's rare. The first time it happened we hadn't been together that long and he thought I was about to finish with him! It's very much a happy thing though. Weird.

garlicbutter · 02/08/2011 23:51

I've cried in a good way - rarely - after the most amazing, soul-lifting sex.
I've also cried during and after marital rape Angry

I did both kinds of crying with the XH, not on the same occasion, obv.
Yes, I would say "release of emotion" ;)

BertieBotts · 02/08/2011 23:58

Yes agree on both counts. The happy, OMG-that-was-fantastic-I-can't-even... release of emotion thing, (DP was really worried and kept asking if he'd hurt me, it didn't help that I couldn't speak!) and also once with XP where I wanted to stop halfway through but didn't say anything, mainly because I didn't think he would stop anyway, and then it felt like he was raping me (I say 'felt like' because he didn't know that I wanted him to stop) - but yeah I cried after that. He didn't notice. :(

MedusaIsHavingABadHairDay · 03/08/2011 00:18

Yes ... after very intense wonderful sex. Pretty sure it's a limbic response .. but it's wonderful :)

UnhappyLizzie · 03/08/2011 05:49

Like Bertie - both. I've cried during because I was so in love with someone. And I've cried afterwards because I so didn't want sex with husband and I was just enduring it because I felt I should. I've stopped doing that now.
