last night i had a dream about my first love, it was quite a graphic dream.

I am happliy married with 2 kids and love my dh very much, so why have a dream about someone i havent seen for over 10 years?

i kept trying to end the dream but i couldnt!

it has disturbed me as i dont understand, i thought that you dreamt about things that were on your mind but he hasnt been on my mind for years,
can anyone enlighten me?

sorry cannot enlighten you but have experienced similar. i'm always remembering my dreams. have in the past, including recently, dreamt about someone from school days that i used to fancy. never did anything about it at the time though, but do wonder why these dreams occur when i'm not even bothered nor slightly interested about him now. i'm happily married with 2 young children.
also have dreamt about 'carrying on' with an older chap i quite liked although i used to only babysit for him and then wife and kids about 10 yrs ago, as i lived down the road then.
'tis strange.
can anyone enlighten us here ?

what happened in the dream?

it probably isn't meaning that you want to be with the ex... but maybe in some ways you pine for what could have been? or something unresolved in your past?

or maybe it is just to show you how well off you are with what you have now?

I once had a dream about an ex I had not seen in a loooong time, I don't remember what exactly it was about but I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that something had happened to him. So, after wondering why I had such strong feeling about him (TBH, although the relationship was quite formal I was never madly in love with him, IYWIM). A week later I rang my sister who dutyly informed me that X had married and... he was in the act of getting married at the moment I woke up! (There is a seven hours difference between UK and my country's time use)

I get simmilar thing with other friends, and family although lately, not very often (thank god)

i think it's like your brain is a filing cabinet and every now and then it has a clean out.he was probably right at the back of a drawer and needed to be binned!

it was an unresolved relationship, thats probably why i dreamt about it.
