What do you do when you have introduced someone to your closest friend of 27 years and then they use their use of recreational drugs to make you feel like the outsider? Do you write off your long term friend because your lifestyle no longer fits and let the new comer who is poison spread her shit? or do you fight for the friendship you had? Knowing that some pot smoking bitch coming between you, as much as you were trying to help her, is the death knell of your friendship? God I feel alone typing this

Does their new friendship have to spell the end of your old friendship?

I introduced a close friend of mine to another close friend and now they are closer to each other than I am to either of them - but their friendship does not detract at all from the relationship I have with them individually.

The drugs thing is bad, but they are adults and it is not your job to parent them.
