EA and Facebook

I have been having an emotional affair and have ended it having come to my senses but I have lots of incriminating messages on my Facebook and I don't know how to delete them. I have archived them but does anyone know how to get rid of them permanently please? I have told my dh but I don't want him to read it all in black and white. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you just delete them on FB that gets rid of them doesn't it? At least I really hope it does!

there's no delete function, if you press the x it archives the messages. I really dont want to de-activate my account but it maybe the only way.

When your in the actual message there is a delete button up the top, make sure you go into the sent folder and delete those too.
How on earth do you archive them, I can't see that facility?

sorry, I should have said that they are Chat messages, we chatted and then all of those went to my messages but I can't work out how to delete them.

If you block the other person I think all trace of them is removed from your account. Although I think you ought to delete yours too anyway, out of respect for your DH.

I have removed him from my friends but the messages are still there, I will close my account if I have to.

go into your messages, scroll to the bottom and click on archieve, there is a delete button i think at the bottom
