Reviving sexual life

I need some advices on how to bring back a sexual life into my married life.
We have a 1yo + DS who sleep through and the last time we had a intercourse was in April 2010.
DH job is very tiring and he works shifts (including nights).
I just don't know where to start... Do I speak to him and say that I miss it? Or go for it and hope he won't push me away?
Any advice will be great.
Thanks

First option (speak to him). Just going for it runs the risk of him not being in the mood and you feeling rejected - with talking you can get him thinking first and then in the mood later.

That's what I thought.

Now I need to find a good time to speak with him Confused... We're going on holiday next month so I guess it'll be the good time.

Tell him you miss him as your lover and you think about you and he together all the time. Start building up contact, more cuddles, more lingering kisses. Let him know you still desire him....but no pressure and I bet he reciprocates in kind pretty damn quickly.

Well, hopefully so. Though tbh it hasn't worked for me at all - but either way talking puts less pressure on than trying to go for it.

Good luck!

I can totally relate to this. My dp and me haven't had sex since well before our DS was born (he's 2.5yo) and it has got to the point where I am wondering if we ever will again.
We never talk about it, we never try to initiate it, we completely avoid any mention of sex in any context. I've just started looking for self help books to give me some ideas as to what to do.
I know in our relationship (for me anyway) it is all about communication, and his lazy attitude to personal hygene doesn't bloomin help either....!
What to do...?
