DH making ambiguous comments about another baby...stringing me along?

Hi there,

my DH and I had decided (or so I thought) that we would not have any more children. Our youngest is not even 1yr old and now he is making comments such as "we still have room" and "come on...let's make another one".
I am confused. Does he want more kids? When I ask (somewhat scared about the idea) he seems to joke about it, but I cannot help but think he may consider it....?

What would you make of it? Anyone experienced something similar?

And I thought it is always the women harping on about more babies....

I'd say he's definitely hinting, but actually saying it out-right becomes a bit too serious, a bit too much of them taking responsibility. Talk to him.

When and why did you decide not to have any more, if you don't mind me asking? (not saying you should, BTW, just wanting to understand what might have changed his mind)

Well, as I said the little one is still little and we have our hands full with 3. So we kind of thought we are done. With him always having been more done than me. In fact, he would happily have stopped after DC1! So am a bit about the comments...

Don't know! Always wanted 4. But not sure whether I should push my luck. I have 3 healthy children. Also, would I do justice to a 4th? Would I have enough time to spend with each individually?
