I lost my wedding ring. I am sad about it :( but is is not the end of the world for me.

it was my wedding ring but it was also my only ring. I don't really do jewelery, so my wedding ring was the piece I always wore.

DH is a tight & unromantic bugger and refuses to get me a new ring.

I am thinking abouy buying myself a nice ring I like. just for me. nothing to do with my marriage... Hmm

oh shite. yeah buy yourself a new one for you. Can you claim it on insurance or anything?

as we bought the wedding rings when we were poor students, it was a rather inexpensive ring. cost me about £40 back then... so the material loss isn't dramatic :o

He sounds really mean. Do you share your finances?

I'd be inclined not to wear a ring at all on that particular finger, given his attitude...

How mean!! I feel sorry for you, that's so hurtful of him. Treat yourself to a nice piece of jewellery of your choice not necessarily a ring, and enjoy wearing it. I second what PurpleRayne says too....

just read rest of posts. In that case, buy yourself a really lovely, non-marriage related ring instead.

Tight bugger. Just wait till DH is asleep, then jam your finger up his arse and ask him, sweetly, whether he now thinks you need a new ring or whether this one will do.

I lost my engagement ring last year, two months couldn't find it anywhere. Cost Dh more than he could afford at the time and had massive sentimental value. Searched high and low to no avail. Found it when I'd stopped looking in a carrier bag in a drawer (must have fallen in the bag then bag got shoved in.drawer!). So never give up.hope. I would chose to replace it with something.similar but a bit shinier!
