I'm not sure this is the right place to start this thread, but I can't see a 'neighbours' board, so here goes.

My child plays with neighbours child regularly, and they often have the same games and toys. Neighbours child's version of a game has stopped working and is saying to his mum it's my child's copy.

Should I, for good will's sake, replace the game in case it is a swap they've done?

Zikes - is there any way of checking if it is your child's copy? If not then I dont think you should replace it. The neighbour's child may have developed a bit of a collective view on toys/games.

What I do think you should do is start labelling toys/games. You should also have a chat with your DC about swapping. The best suggestion I heard on this was agreeing with DC that the only toys they can swap are the ones they have bought themselves with their own pocket money. This way if DC thinks that swapping xbox for a bag of marbles is a good deal then they are putting their own money where their mouth is!

Wish there was a neighbour board on MN!

I have a neighbour whose voive volume is so deafning i haven't been able to enjoy my garden since 2005. She does not stop belowing for `12 hours a day at least during the summer months.

OP - write your postcode and house number on the underside of the children's toys with one of those UV light pens the police recommend.

That would stop any cionfusion.]

Sorry if i haven't helped.
