Birthday today and no word so far from DP

On his birthday we'd only been dating a couple of weeks yet I still managed to remember a and send him a birthday text in the morning, plus I bought him a DVD of a film he mentioned he wanted to see.

It's 11.15am now and I haven't heard anything from him at all. He definitely knows it's today. He can't possibly have forgotten unless he has Alzheimers. I can see him online right now. Am tempted to message him and say 'So have you genuinely forgotten, or do you just not give a shit?'.

I do genuinely think he forgot, but in a scatterbrained, crap at remembering things kind of way; not in an 'I don't care about NGAT' way.

I also think flowers and dinner was a last minute 'fuck, better sort something out quick' kind of thing; but he's such a lovely natured, kind, nice person I can't read anything bad into it. He can obviously be forgetful and unorganised but I believe that he'd never be mean or callous or hurt anyone on purpose, so I feel a bit silly for having had a teensy bit of a childish strop on here.

I get a lil OTT about if someone forgets makes no effort, then I realised it makes me even more miserable

I'm looking forward to my non big birthday so I can relax and not be too fussed. I've also big birthdays lie 18, 21 cause the most stress because of pressure 'you have to do something for you 21st....
