at 10pm on a Thursday night. He has texts on his phone dating back till before Christmas but decides to delete this one, I really don't get why. I know I'm probably being paranoid but it just seems odd.

I get a load of 'junk texts', could it be one similar to that?

Only way to find out tho is to ask and you dont want to give away that you have been snooping.

i get a 'junk' text all the time from optical express and i automatically delete it - obv it comes from another mobile number.

though think you have other issues to address than some random deleted text

OP, would you consider counselling for the trust issues? It must be exhausting feeling like you can't trust anyone. I wonder if sometimes constantly checking up on a partner could have the knock on effect of making them more secretive, you know like a self fulfilling prophesy.

i'd be really upset if i found my OH had done this to me. i never check his phone. he's never given me cause to feel suspicious.

i've also been cheated on by two longterm partners so could easily fall into not trusting anyone.

Here is the previous thread I mentioned before - it might be worth a read TOE.
