Is it just me or do other people find their old address books almost unbelievably poignant? The names and addresses of former friends who I have not seen for years is bad enough but the details of people who have died makes me feel so sad.
I looked at the first 10 entries and found:
3 people I am in touch with at least monthly
2 people where my last contact was at least 5 years ago (including a former best friend!)
2 people who have died
2 tradesmen who did work for me on previous houses
1 organisation I left in 2004
