Sorry if there's already a thread on this but what's everyone doing?

DP and I are having a bit of a 4 day weekend in celebration. Last night went for drinks then dinner in the city (where I work), tonight he's taking me somewhere pretty but won't say where - somewhere in central London but no idea, he is very good at this though so ultra excited - tomorrow we're going to the zoo and for a long walk with bloody marys by the river, Monday we're going to the BFI for something romantic.

I know it's commercial etc etc but any day celebrating love is a win for me.

I'm equally excited about steak and blowjob day (March 14th)

i would like to introduce you to my thread on the subject

Ah... see for me religious following of football, or a partner who would actually consider letting a football match take precendence over valentine's day (or me any day tbh) would be a deal breaker.

I am walking my dog with my dog walking friend (female).

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 14:43

It would for me, if it were a team I wanted to watch.
Notts county, yes, Chelsea, no, thank you!

LittleHouseByTheRiver · 12/02/2011 15:34

Ooh nickelbabe my team are playing yours this afternoon. I would take a win today as my Valentine's day gift from the cosmos! Smile

(Happily ignoring V-day as I am single for the first time in 28 years)

textualhealing · 12/02/2011 15:39

I'm happily ignorning it too Littlehouse but I have a business trip to go on so I will probably be the only single person in the bloody hotel. Think I'll eat in my room rather be faced with all that lurve.... Just started seeing someone but I'd be surprised if we were at the valentine's stage yet! Hope he doesn't feel differently as I am the least romantic person that I know!

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 15:42

LittleHouse, you can't use your singledom to win a football match! Shock

LittleHouseByTheRiver · 12/02/2011 15:44

All's fair in love and football nickelbabe!! Grin

Besides I don't think we can win today without outside help

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 15:46

golly, didn't realise we were that far down in the league!
we'll have to win the FA cup at this rate... :(

but our goal difference is 0 and that's pretty rare! Grin

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 15:47

(ie you're higher than us, and we need the win)

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 15:47

oh, no, to be fair, you've got 3 matches in hand over us.

LittleHouseByTheRiver · 12/02/2011 15:52

other way round nick, you have 3 matches over us!

You should get enough points to get to safety with those three games though.

HB have we lost you yet? Grin

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 16:06

I meant that you've played 3 more matches - i was looking at it form your POV, in that we can overtake you points-wsie cos you've played more matches.

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 16:06
Grin

you do need act of God at this stage, i think! Grin

JollySergeantJackrum · 12/02/2011 16:11

On Monday I'm working late ish and then going out for a meal with my best friend who lives 600 miles away but is visiting his parents for a few days. DP will be working til 5 ish then will have tea by himself.

We're not really into Valentine's day.

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 16:28

bloody act of god.
looks like you're going to win.
:(

LittleHouseByTheRiver · 12/02/2011 16:35

We specialise in losing in the 93rd minute.

Don't give up hope

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 16:39

you've scored 2 now - and your possession overthe match has been a lot better than ours.

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 16:40

okay, possession is about equal - I looked earlier and you were about 65-35.

nickelbabe · 12/02/2011 17:04

and you've won now.

congratulations. :)

LittleHouseByTheRiver · 12/02/2011 17:07

Looks like it was a blessing getting knocked out of the Johnsons Paint Trophy if this is the come back

HerMajestiesSecretCervix · 12/02/2011 17:12

I have booked DH a pedicure for Valentine's day as I am fed up with him ruining his socks. I am the queen of romance.

happiestblonde · 12/02/2011 17:46

football makes me want to tear my soul out. Rugby however... I'm very glad DP doesn't care about football.

maltesers · 12/02/2011 18:12

Doing nothing.. . DP is working 80 miles away monday to friday ... and I've got DS 10yr to take care of .
No big deal. . .DP is so nice to me 365 days a year so valentines day is no exception.

In fact Valentines day is every day of the year now cos he is so nice, compared to the last 3 total bastards I have had in my life.

LittleHouseByTheRiver · 12/02/2011 18:16

It's ok HB we have stopped now. It was just an anti-Valentine's distraction Smile
