What have you V your other half done today?

Me...got up at 7.30am
got the kids clothes ready
ran a bath
ran downstairs and put the breaky in the bowls
got bathed dressed presentable
jollyed the kids into eating /dressing while doing lunchboxes
checked book bags
done girls hair x 2
got teeth done face done and out the door to bus stop at 8.15

Dropped dds at school, got back on bus,got to work at 9.10.
Worked till 1.10 went shopping for plants...faffed about waiting for school finishing time.

Got in a 3.35, tidied garden, planted plants. Got last nights washing in off the line
Made dinner, washed up, checked bookbags, played footy with the girls, cleaned the bathroom, set the kids up with some movies while I folded and put away a mountain of clothes....
...refound my kitchen table under a foot of art and craft stuff and am about to hoover.

Dp got up at 7.30
went to work got home at 6.45 and ive nagged at him twice to do the few dishes that grew after id done them...
HMMPPHH.

What about you and your other half?

me 7am up with kis, breakfast, ready for school and going out.

10am on way to harefield

11am at harefield with dd2+3. 1pm, on way home.

3pm pick up dd1 from school

4.30pm out for dinner

6.30pm shopping

8.30pm home, kids to bed, feed dd3.

dh, physio, sleep, eat, exercise, read.

Dropped ds1 off
Drove across town to drop ds2 at nursery
Home to do the washing up, cleaning kitchen, tidying downstairs, clothes washing
Fed ds3
1pm picked up ds2 from nursery
Straight to Tesco to do weekly shop
Put food away, changed nappies, back out to pick up ds1 from school
Had friends over for after-school tea - MAYHEM in the house
When gone, transferred all toys to rightful place
Cooked our meal
Washed up
Ate meal and watched 'Vincent' from last night
In between, dealt with ds3 who wasn't sleeping - he's got the trots - bless!
Now - just about to go to bed, ds3 babbling in cot

Gave breakfast to ds1 and ds2
8am - left for work
12-1pm - had a lunch break (HA!)
6.45pm - in from work
Got all ds's ready for bed and into bed while I made dinner
Went on computer while dinner cooking
Ate dinner with me and watched TV, dealt with ds3
Now - off to bed

Thrilling eh!

Got up at 6:15am (full work day today)
Showered and dressed
Got DD's bag ready with clothes, etc for her day at PILs
Gave DD cuddles after she was awake
Got my food and bag ready for work
Took homemade casseroes out fo freezer for dinner
Left, with DD, in car for work at 6:50am
Dropped DD off at PILs on my way to work (they live in same town as work- drive is about 50 minutes)
At work between 8:15am and 4:30pm
Picked DD up from PILs and drove home - takes about an hour on way back
Got in and got dinner ready - easy as made casserole last week, so just needed warming up with some bread
Had dinner
Played with DD before and after dinner a little
Took DD to bed at 7:45pm - cleaned teeth, into PJs, story and cuddles
Tried to get my broadband working - unsuccessfully
Been on MN and MO, and booked train ticket online

DH
Got up at 6:30am and went in to wake DD up
Got her into her dressing gown and slippers
Waved us off to work at 6:50am
Got himself showered and dressed, and off to work around 8am
Got home at 6:20pm tonight
Sorted cars out (need to move then about so he can get in garage)
Played with DD
Set table for dinner with DD
Phoned his IT tech from work up about my broadband
Made cup of tea and biscuit after DD was in bed
Read magazine and listened to music.

did a bit of the clearing up then stopped when realised he should be doing it

I've had a lazy evening but that's cos the cleaner has been today She's done more than the pair of us put together.

7.15Got ds brekkie ready
7.30 woke up dd (3)
7.45 fed her
8.30 drove ds to school
9.00 whizzed around tescos for stock up
9.28 put on fimbles dvd
9.30 home washing on, unload dishwasher, clean kitchen cupboards, mop floor, hoover, feed cats, shower.
10.00 FIRST CUP OF TEA and slice of toast - shared with dd

10.45 walk to Postbox with dd
11.30 home having pointed out every bloody living and inanimate object on the way...
11.45 dd lunch while cleaning the kitchen windows.

12.45 my lunch
1.00pm mumsnet for a bit and other leisure activities YEAH RIGHT
2.30 wake up dd, feed her snack, bring in washing, tidy up a bit
3.30 Collect DS
4.00pm Feed ds afternon tea - and coerce him to make pc attempt at Archimedes homework - my panic already setting in.
5.30 put dinner on - various interspersed domestic tasks - today mowed lawn, brought washing in, folded etc filed phone call from ds dad exp about new child support arrangements HOORAY
7pmBath both kids - yes his arm is in plaster up to his SHOULDER and I have to bath him!
7.30 dd to bed - dishes clearup load dishwasher, get washing out of drier etc
8.00 pudding and mumsnet
8.30 Archimedes homework 4 bloody pages I had to copy out for him....

All the while being a speech therapist and physical help for dd (moderate special needs)

dh - who knows - he's in Manchester - working I hope - oh he's gone to a Jon Anderson concert tonight with ds1.

Me - Up, tv, brekkie, shower etc - shopped with mate - lunch out, me and pal hairdressers pm. Bit of internetting, replying to emails, dinner, tv, mumsnet and eventually I shall retire.

lady berry it was the first time wince my laproscopy on the 20th Sept! He's been so patient and adorable adn when he gets back I'll likely have the curse, so had to do it really....
it is in NO way a reflection of a normal day...LOL

9am back home after taking or sending kids of to school
HEAVEN but not for long as have got to do housework, so blitz the house in between few phonecalls I have to make
10.30am picked upp dd2 to take her clothes shopping for her b/d soon
noon on mumsnet in between going on jobcentre website for dd
3.00 pick up ds from school, then get petrol, yes I took him in with me
3.30pm mumsnet again
4.30pm go to ds parents evening
and here I am again

doormat, do you still have your mr steam cleaner and can it be used to clean carpets? thanks

me - spent day worrying about dirty carpets
dh - spent day oblivious to dirty carpets

bk yes I still have it, yes it can clean carpets but put those blue and white square cloths on the end to get the dirt

He then got the children's breakfast
he got them dressed
I had a shower and got myself dressed
He went to work
I drove the kids to school and then drove myself to school
DH worked until 4.45
I worked until 3.10 when I drove to pick up the kids from school and drove home
I supervised HW
I cooked us all tea
Dh will put them in the bath and I will put them to bed
I will then spend the evening marking a test for year 9 and some sixth form HW. If I have time I will finish off my year 11 reports
While I do this dh will play on the computer

ME
worried myself sick about ds1 having a hard time from his teacher. Went to school to discuss it and came away feeling unhappy. Looked after ds2 and childminded one mindee. Took them shopping etc etc. Cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner still worried about ds1. Tried to talk to my pals re. this but no one available.

HIM
went to work, chatted about work/sport/whatever with adults, didn't obsess about his children, didn't ask his wife how her day was, ate cooked tea.

Sorry not great was it.

My day was about a million times better than his probably - but ask me tomorrow when I work for 6 hours!

Woke up at 5.30 with DS
Got up and showered then made breakfast for DS which he put on a tray and DS ate breakfast in bed next to me while watching CBeebies.
Left for work by 7.30, walked to bus stop, took bus to station then train to work.
Worked all day, probably had lunch.
Still at work now and probably will be until quite late tonight.

Dozed while DS had breakfast in bed until 8.30.
Got up and got myself and DS dressed and ready for the day.
Had breakfast.
Went to post office to forward mail.
Dropped letter off at doctors.
Took DS to Cafe Rouge for lunch.
Took DS to preschool.
Had nightmare trying to sort our parking permits.
Went home and worked on preparing things for house move on Friday.
Picked my feet up so cleaning lady could hoover under them.
Picked DS up from preschool.
Made dinner for me and DS.
Did bedtime routine with DS and tucked him into bed.
Came on to MN.

Sounds pretty cushy but I'm 36 weeks pregnant so things like the breakfast on a tray while I doze are definitely not the norm!

6.45 got up to ds2 screaming in fright because something had come crashing down from shelf in bedroom.
7am dressed,washed,makeup on etc

7.20 woke ds1 up

7.30 breakfast for all

8.30 leave house and walk to school

9.15 arrive at maths brush up course

10.45 leave course early to walk back to school

11am arrive back at school to listen to a talk by ds1 teacher and then get to have lunch with ds1.

1.15pm nip to tesco for tonights tea

1.30 back home, cuppa and read paper,bit of tidying up

3.15pm pick up ds1 and ds2 from school

4pm take ds1 and ds2 for haircuts

5pm cook tea, eat,load dishwasher,tidy up, chat with ds1 and ds2

6:45pm sort bath for ds2 and then help with homework

7pm arrives homw from work
reads ds2 a quick story

Me dd2 (6 months) up 4:45 an hour of calming and feeding

dd2 back up at 8

8:30 attampt to give her baby porridge (not interested)

Clean up house while dd2 watches baby shakespeare

10:00 out for walk (dd2 back to sleep by 10:30)

11:00 meet cousins at nero for coffee (one has a 4 1/2 month old dd) dd wakes up and her and her second cousin (i think that is the relationship ) have a good old play

12:00 back home for some rolling about on the floor, going manic in her walker and cuddles

14:30 dd back to sleep

15:15 wakes up

DW (at her mothers for the night) 8:00 dd2 (2 years) wakes up

9:30 meets her sis with her ds2 (Same age as dd1)

Lots of soft play!!!

12:30 gets dd1 lunch at Mums and drives back to london from horsham Just in time for dd2 to wake up (see earlier)

Ooooops apparently dd2 was in london and horsham at the same time.....clever that eh

got kids dressed/ready for school WHILST putting away all there clean clthes form the wasahing I did the night before!
Gave kids b/fast
Supervised them making glitter snowflakes WHILST dressing/brushing own teeth AND making packed lunches
Saw gliter all over kitchen DD got out hoover and left it in doorway fr DH to trip over
8.50 rushed out to work, late as always
5.30ish let work, picked kids up rom childminders, came home, tripped over hoover, tided kitchen, did washing up from yesterday, made cheese sauce, assembled 2 dishes lasagne and put in oven. Put load of washing on with DD she wanted to wash her teddy. Hoovered kitchen, and downstairs loo. Put away the rest of clothes from this morning. Played on MN!!.
7.30 kids in bath, large glass wine, listen to kids screaming

DH (SO FAR)

Got up 8.35 after being old they had to leave in 5 mins.
Moaned about glitter on the floor.
Took kids to school
Came home and probably sat on arse for a couple of hours.
Hoovered up some glitter, then shook paper full of glitter back all over floor. Left hoover for me to trip over.
Probably farted a lot
Emptyed dishwasher (without reminding) but ddn't notice last nights washing up to be done!!
Went to work at mid-day
6.00 called to say he is going to pub for ONE drink
8.00 NOW not home yet!!

For the rest of tonight I expect I will eat dinner, clear away kitchen, tumble dry clothes and teddy. He will sit on sofa fart a lot and play with remote control. Fart agan and go to bed

Dh did more today as he took DD to nursery on his way to work. I picked her up afterwards. rest is much the same.
