"Do you still love me now I'm fat?"

I asked DH last night when we were getting friendly on the sofa.

"I will always love you, even if you get fat!"

Grin I think that was just about the perfect response.

A very good answer, also the right one. Smile

Anniegetyourgun · 24/01/2011 14:27

Bless him, I agree, that's lovely.

Ormirian · 24/01/2011 14:30

In fact, I think he might have been in trouble if he'd said anything else Wink

Yes, absolutely perfect answer... get him to write a book of perfect phrases for all men to read and digest... :)

perfumedlife · 24/01/2011 14:35

He sounds just lovely Smile

if my OH got fat i would still love him but i might struggle to fancy him as much and would also worry about his health. i nag him about his growing waistline and hope he does me.

if i ask if i've put on weight i expect an honest answer, not a sugar coated response designed purely to protect my ego.

Good answer. DH told me he would fancy me if I was twice my size or shrunk away to nothing Grin Good oh.

Anniegetyourgun · 24/01/2011 14:45

Well that's good, isn't it, kepler, because you're with someone who tells it how you want him to and so is Orm. Just don't swap and you'll both be fine.

NameyMcChange · 24/01/2011 14:45

Hahaha I once got 'even though you have put on weight it doesn't stop me loving you'

Cue tears from me!

Now he says 'you're not fat but you could be the size of a house and I would still love you'. That is a lie but very kind.

I am actually not fat really. I used to be a 10 and after being on the pill went up to 14. I have lost 2 stone and am now a 12, so definitely not fat but in my head I am.

What a sweet thing to say Smile

My DH has always said that he does not find larger ladies attractive. Fair enough.

However, since we have been together, he has expanded to the equivalent of me going from my (consistent) size 12 to a size 18 Hmm

My lips are remaining sealed Grin

kepler - I have put on weight, I know it, he knows it. I just wanted to know he still found me attractive. BTW so has he, over the years. But neither of us are at any risk health-wise.
