I really would appriciate some help ....5 yrs ago I got into a row with my husband he has a habit of getting in your face and stupidly I slapped him in temper. He called the police and top had bottom of it tried to have me charged with assualt then decided to drop the accusation after a day. because I didnt deny the slap I was givee a caution. Sincee then he has bullied and intimidated me saying if I called the police no one would believe me beause I have a caution and what am I going to do about it??? He laughs and trys to provoke me. I have managed to record the last conversation ' I had better do as I am told or he will knock me through the window' If I call the police it will be the last thing I do' He had the cheek to say sorry the following day but I don't feel safe and to scared to go the the police incase he is right that no one will believe me. I cant stand this anylonger and have no idea what to do. Can anyone please help.

I agree with calling Women's Aid. You're not the first person to find yourself in this situation. It is a strategy some men use. There is help available.

piranhamorgana · 21/01/2011 16:14

shelly - LadyT IS RIGHT.

I am concerned for you.He sounds dangerous and has set you up for this, regardless of the rights and wrongs of your original row.

Oh you poor girl. WOmen's AId will be able to help you and (depending on your circumstances WRT DC, being married, whose name the home is in) either find you somewhere to live or help you through the process of getting this man out of the house.
YOu do NOT have to put up with this. People WILL believe you. THere IS help.
Best of luck to you.
