Or "Protecting the gift" by same author (Gavin de Becker). Great stuff.

I've just read all the Amazon reviews and am concerned this could lead to yet more victim-blaming (should have seen the signs, etc.) Is this a worry, do you think, or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Caveats: Haven't read it - I will, thank you - and have saved myself from some potentially fatal attacks by following good self-defence strategies, which most people don't learn.

Definately the wrong end of the stick, but I can completely see where you are coming from, it does sound a little like that.

I personally have found it very impowering, but that's just me Smile
