How long would this bother you for (if at all!)

six (yes six!) years ago, before dh and I were together he got very very drunk one Christmas and snogged his soon to be sister in law, who told him that she was marrying the wrong brother.

He does now say that if there was one thing he could undo in his life it would be this.

It has always made me uncomfortable around her, and I know that it shouldn't for two reasons, it was before he was with me and it's an awful long time since.

And before anyone asks, yes his brother does know about it as he walked in!!

are you happily married? do you know that your husband loves you -- if yes to both forget it and move on.

I've had a few drunken snogs that I wish I hadn't - doesn't everyone?

mancmum · 30/09/2005 16:56

would not worry me --- as it was her making the moves and you were not around.. she still married his brother... if the brother has no issues, why should you? Have you really wondered why it causes you an issue when you have said yourself there are good reasons for it not to?

WigWamBam · 30/09/2005 16:56

If I wasn't with him at the time, if everyone had moved on since then, and if I felt loved then no, it wouldn't bother me.

How often do you see her?

CeeTee · 30/09/2005 21:30

I would trust him since it happened before you two met, but I would not trust HER since she obviously has no concern for others feelings.

So she did become the SIL then did she, even after that,.?! It wouldn't massively bother me but I'd never really give her the time of day either, I'd just keep her at arms length.

Off to a party at theirs tonight

Wouldn't mind but she's about 17 years younger and three stone lighter than me!!

But I know he loves me totally and she really really isn't his type!

Heigh ho - it came up in the middle of a major PMT session!!
