Anyone With Partner in Merchant Navy?

Hi there

I am new to this thread and looking for any other mum's whose partners are in the Merchant Navy. Apologies if there is already a thread for this but would love to hear from anyone who is in a similar position to myself - recently had a baby and finding it challenging at times when he is at sea...and at home !

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Nickster

Thank you! I think you guys have it much worse than me! My husband only away three weeks to a month but finding it a bit of a struggle at times. Surely I can't be the only one! I know nobody else who is in same position so just looking for a bit of backup!

It's all relative! Detatchments can be 4,6 or 9 months. But most of us endure that once or twice every year ot two. Week long courses, exercises etc happen all the time! Pitch in we're all in it together!!

I really appreciate that. I wish us Merchant Navy wives and girlfriends were so good at getting together and supporting each other! Right will try a post on forces sweetheart and see how I get on. Smile
