And would you recommend them?

Or is the ol' fashioned solicitors the best way to go?

No stuff to fight over, just contact time with 16 month old DS.

Any advice welcomed!

I used one. It was really easy and went really smoothly. I can't remember the name of the company (sorry) but all in all it cost about £500. They guided me through the process and the forms were really easy to fill in. If I hadn't filled in anything quite right they let me know and told me what I had to do. I filed for divorce in March 2008 and it was finalised in July 2008.

Just type quickie divorce into google and loads of companies will come up. Good luck x

I looked into this but was advised that, if there were children and/or assets involved, it was better to go through a solicitor. But that is def the more expensive option.

I would def get some legal advice though Smile

I did this and it was under £100. It will only work if you really are amicable about it. Do you agree about contact? Do you agree about child maintenance? What about holiday times? Christmas? Who pays for school uniforms (when applicable)? Who will pay for a child minder? Who will take the child to school and back?

It might seem like all this is a long time off, but it's really not.

Please don't let the cost make your decision for you. If you think in any way you might get a bad deal, use a solicitor.
