who I love dearly.

Come and share on this thread if you do too.

Just to balance it out on the relationships topic.

Because sometimes it makes me sad Sad and I want all people to have the chance to be in a loving secure relationship or be happily single, not stuck in horrible relationships.

Wish I had a magic wand.

Mine is amazing too - I can't imagine how awful it must be to be married to someone who you are frightened of, and who is unkind to you in anyway, let alone violent and demeaning Sad. My mum was but is now married to someone wonderful too, thank goodness.

I am extremely grateful for my wonderful man, with whom I share an equal, mutually respectful life.

Sisqinanamook · 05/12/2010 17:12

I have one of those too! We have our moments obviously, but I'm married to my best friend and after two kids and the best part of a decade I still fancy and respect him! I am also grateful for my man

TroonDuneGirl · 05/12/2010 17:17

And mine! Together for 40 years. DS1 and DS2 are long grown up and left home but we are still 'an item'!

Mine is peeling veg for dinner (as I have refused to eat baked beans, if I have to eat sausage and mash the only way I can do it without gagging is to have fresh veg!), before that he hoovered house from top to bottom )as cleaner said she would break her neck if tried to leave house ((was risk I was willing for her to take personally to have a clean house!!)).

I am sitting on cosy chair with laptop and blanket drinking tea which I am making him bring me as I have a sore throat and snuffly nose!

I love him lots and lots and lots!

hairyfairylights · 05/12/2010 17:33

Me too. :)

Shodan · 05/12/2010 17:45

Mine is pretty damned good too.

He cares for me in a practical sense in a way no-one has ever done before. He makes huge efforts to get home from work on time so I can go training. He gives me all lie-ins, gets up with ds2 in the night, warms my side of the bed before I get in- all sorts really.

He is also tall, dark, handsome, rich and very good at... well you know. Xmas Wink

So I can forgive the endless obsession with watching golf/cricket/rugby/football/darts/Formula One/any other obscure and dull sports on the tv.

I can also forgive his fondness for wearing rugby shorts in all weathers. Xmas Grin

lovely thread. i think we need a regular one of these threads. i started one last month too, it does me good to hear that great men still exist.

cherrybea · 05/12/2010 17:49

Me too, love him so much for loving me

xkittyx · 05/12/2010 19:17

Another one here. I love him so much, and love that he's such a good, kind person and my best friend.

happiestblonde · 05/12/2010 19:17

Me too. I love my DP more than I thought possible to love anyone, he treats me with so much love and respect, really looks after me and is right now washing up from the brunch he made me before making us dinner. He is the most gorgeous man I have ever seen, my best friend in the world, incredibly intelligent, reasonable, supportive and romantic.
I feel very very lucky.

happiestblonde · 05/12/2010 19:18

Oh and this weekend he is taking me to Venice to celebrate our anniversary :)

PositiveAttitude · 05/12/2010 19:26

Mine really is a D H too. He is just everything I could ever have wanted in a hubby.

I have been unwell for the past few months and he has been really supportive and brilliant doing everything around the house and looking after the 5 DCs.

He really is a gem and I love him more now than I did 22 years ago when we married, which I would never have thought possible. Smile

snottyshoulders · 05/12/2010 19:30

Very happy to know they DO exist!!! Smile Any brothers-in-laws available?! Grin
