It was DP's work Christmas do last night (toight?) He said he was unsure whether to go due to weather as he has a commute.He Decided to go in the ed, saying that as long as he left by 9.30 ish he would be ok, but that later trains had been cancelled due to the snow. He said he would call when he left.

As yet, he has not called. I have tried calling a few times over the last 90 minutes, and his phone is going straight through to voicemail. So I have no idea where he is, but assume he will not be getting home tonight. I am 37 weeks pregnant, have a poorly toddler to look after, and to cap it all off it is now my birthday.

Am asolutely fucking fuming. Am I being unreasonable?

Am I being paranoid wondering why the hell his phone is off?

Is he back yet?

I would be mighttily pissed off with him! Not just for being an arse about coming home but not getting intouch to at least say Happy Birthday!

Hi again. Sorry haven't updated till now. He got back at lunchtime. He missed the last train and his phone was dead. then fell asleep on train and ended up travelling between Dover and london.

However, sadly, the day has been monumentally shit sice then. Can't even be bothered to post about it tbh. Worst birthday I've ever had.

Well as long as it's a one off I would say don't dwell on it. My DH did something like this over a decade ago, it was a one off. Let him look after your toddler next weekend and give you a proper break before the new baby arrives.

Did he say why he didn't stay at his sister's in London?

Alarm bells: why didn't he borrow someone else's phone/even use a payphone. He must have known you would be worried sick. I would be extremely dubious...but that's me all over....
