MIL never fails to suprise me...

We take plenty of photos of our 4 month DD and put them on a photo sharing website so that all family & friends can access them whenever they want.

MIL emailed DH the other day to say she wanted a photo of DD to print off and put in her xmas cards and that "none of the ones on the website show DD dressed prettily or happy and could we take some more so that she would have something decent to show her friends".

I was so fumming, to me that means by default I don't dress my DD prettily enough and she's not a happy baby?!

Am probably being massively over sensitive but just thought it was so out of order. I refuse to do anything about it and will leave the taking of anymore photos to DH - in the hope that he's too busy/lazy/forgetful to do anything about it in time for xmas. (I know, how petty of me).

Take some photos of your DD wearing a "I love my Mum" top and send them to MIL?

Photos of you holding DD, or your Mum holding your DD wearing "I love grandma"

It would be one of those requests I ignore completely.

I second zachary quack! Silly old boot, we all know men never get round to these things, so leave it to DH!

Reminds me of when my dd was newborn, mil didn't like any of the outfits I put her on, too bright for her liking, not enough pink, one photo had my mummy loves me on the front, well we got a most sickening and jealous "but granny loves you too!" In response to this one, it was all in the tone

Ignore her!

Jux · 15/11/2010 09:26

Yeah, let dh do it. If he ever gets around to it, dress her as Zachary says. If MIL wants frilly then put a bow round her ankle.
