Anyone else in the spare room in a huff?

Okay, maybe it's all me, but I got bored and tired, waiting an hour for DH to get off the (bloody stupid wizard-bothering) computer game he was on and come and watch a movie with me, so he was astonished to get off the 'puter and discover I'd gone off the idea and felt all sleepy. I went to bed 2 hours ago because I really, really didn't fancy watching bloody Shaun of the sodding Dead until midnight. It was bad enough having to see it at the pictures. Urgh.

He just came to bed and did that ostentatious back-turn-and-sigh that was so successful at the Bickering Olympics the other year. I can't sleep next to an angry person - it makes me want to get up and argue - so I am in the spare room on the lumpy futon.

Gah.

Anyone else sulking tonight?

Noy yet but I'm just about to kick off big time.

This has not been DH's finest week. He rang on Monday night to say he 'forgot' to tell me he agreed to work extra hours every Mon for the next 4 months and on Wed he announced he was working all day today - on top of his normal 9-6 job.

Then I went down to settle a very unhappy dd2 who keeps waking up coughing and crying. Couldn't hear the TV so thought DH was having an early night. Got up to find he has gone to the pub!

SoMuchToBats · 23/10/2010 23:25

No - but only because dh is away for the weekend! Grin

Am having a very peaceful ds and Mummy weekend thank you. Even ds said tonight "I feel really relaxed tonight, Mummy!"

Ey up, aren't you another Nov 08 lady? I have namechanged to protect the guilty.

Sorry to hear your evening is also looking a bit poo. When's it your turn for the pub, then?

I would be if our spare room was more than a building site. In fact, I would have been since Monday night. It isn't me sulking though, it is dh. Though after 5 nights, I am getting pretty narked off myself.

suiledonne · 23/10/2010 23:35

Why yes I am opener. Couldn't be bothered to namechange.
No idea who you are though!

DH still not home. Pub is 5 mins away. I spoke to him at 10.50 and he said he was leaving. Text at 11.20 to say finishing up. It's 11.35 now Angry

SoMuchToBats - how old is your DS - he sounds like a real cool dude!

openerofdarklymoulderingtombs · 23/10/2010 23:59

I was saurus, mate. Nuts to your DH, not cool. Grr. Sorry to hear your lo is poorly. Is this your Nov08 babe or other? [nosy]

My life partner of choice has developed a chilli intolerance so has been feeling ill all day because he insisted on having chilli beef on his pizza last night. How this is anything other than his own stupid fault is beyond me. I feel bad about his suffering but have been getting it in the neck a lot today and am frankly a bit sick of it.

Okay, whinge over, off to read the jokes thread.

Sleeping in spare room? Believe me....life's too short. Never sleep on a quarrel. [hsmile].

LittleMissHissyFangs · 24/10/2010 01:31

I wish i had a spare room.... i'd be sleeping in it now instead of waiting till HE'S asleep..

CoinOperatedGirl · 24/10/2010 02:05

I dunno, I sleep on the sofa often, I reckon its both our faults though. I hate sleeping with people full stop. I do sleep with him some times though.

He never wants to give his area up though either.

ilovewoody · 24/10/2010 07:33

Been there, Done that. Too many times to remember

Have left him now so dont need to ever do that again :)

SoMuchToBats · 24/10/2010 17:20

Victormeldrew, ds is 9.

harassedinherWITCHYpants · 24/10/2010 20:18

Oh I know exactly which wizard bothering game you're on about, and it is the root of many an arguements in my, two of my sil's and a friends houses!!!

Dh has since moved on to Everquest which is just as bad. I let him get on with it now, I hate watching his crap on tv and he channel hops which annoys me to distraction! He does love to watch dvd's but knows I won't stay awake it we start to late.

You should have kicked him out of bed!
