MIL says shes got some work she 'can't do' (percentages and things - she used to be a teacher btw!!) and so DH is going in today to help her with it?!

She doesn't work from home by the way
Hmm

I don't even see how that would be 'allowed' but apparamntly it is.

Am pissed off as am so busy today and was counting on DH being here

Am sick of MIL calling on HIM for everything when shes got 3 other children too!

mmm, I've got one of those DH's too, his MIL says "Jump" and he's there - if I ask him to do something, well that's another matter entirely. He's still very much under his MIL's spell, even at the age of 40, she's got quite a hold over him and he doesn't realise it. She abused him physically as a child and I think this still plays a big part in their relationship - I feel for him, he's had a hard life, but I feel like I've been spectating for long enough now, i want us to live our lives. he lives with a lot of guilt because we live away and I know he worries about her financial position etc. but would never share this with me. His dad died two years ago and I know he now feels that he should fill his Dad's shoes - I just want out of this unhealthy situation!

How sad :(

May be a similar thing here as DHs dad was very abusive and she stayed with him through it all so sh has alot of guilt, I think DH finds thaqt hard.

But still its everyone.

Even our neighbour who moved out and has her own DP came and dropped off her DDs bike to be fixed!!

Its just everyone always asking and him always saying yes and me sat here getting more pee'd off with it all!
