So over the past couple of weeks I have been itching all over. I feel as though insects are crawling over me.
I also notice h has shaved all the hair on his body. How wierd I thought. He has been hiding himself from me, but I 'caught' him when he had just had a shower. First I thought he was having some sort of affair, since I have never made any noises about body hair on him because it isn't that much.
Well I gets to thinking......so I asked him why he did it. He said because he feels more sweaty and wanted to feel better. I said nothing, but I remember him doing this around a year ago.
So it turns out the itchiness, the insects crawling on me were body-lice. I shower everyday, sometimes twice a day, wear clean clothes every day......I felt disgusting. I then started to tumble dry everything and now I have felt free of the itching finally.
Why did h not mention to me that he was worried about it and he shaved his bodt hair because of lice?
How can you catch body lice? is it through sexual contact, I also had itching below but that has cleared up now too....
Has he had sex with some dirty cow?

you do that...you will find a way its surprising what can happen and what a woman is capable of when motivated

ItsGhoulAgain · 16/10/2010 04:07

You sound well pissed off, OP (understandably). If it's any comfort you've made ME itch too! Watch out for the kids, can you imagine what the other mums will say if you end up being the source of a school-wide louse infection Shock

Not relevant to your problems really, but I once caught pubic lice off my brother!! I lent him a pair of jeans ... shortly after he'd had a close encounter with some random girl. It took us weeks to get rid of them :(

Shaving his body to get rid of them is just fucking weird - or extremely dumb, at best. Doesn't he know how to Google 'lice' fgs??! And not telling you - that stinks Angry Feel free to rant, assuming you have actually managed to get some sleep by the time you read this.

exH did the shaving everywhere bit too.
Long story.

(5 DCs here -- anything is possible if you set your mind to it)

Anniegetyourgun · 16/10/2010 09:06

Sounds to me as if you're hoping he got the lice through an affair, so you have a ready-made excuse to ditch him.

GypsyMoth · 16/10/2010 10:06

body lice are bigger than other types of lice??

god, surely you'd see them all over you then?

mathanxiety · 16/10/2010 18:42

Crab lice can migrate....
