My son is no longer an Arsewipe

I went to the family court today.

I had applied for a specific issue order to legally change my son's surname from his father's to mine.

The judge granted the application in under five minutes flat

Ds's father abandoned us two and a half years ago. Some will know the backstory.

I was v nervous worried the judge would ask me try to find him (ExH)

But he didn't. He was really straight forward and unfussy. (never been in a family court before and had no solicitor.)

He said Ds's new proper name is a bit of a mouthful Grin !

I am so pleased. It is a small milestone, as I can never change Ds's birth certificate. Sad

But it means a huge amount to me.

I think the worst thing as it sinks inis that ds's family on his dad's side blanked me from the day he got on the plane.

In two and a half years they have never acknowledged the trauma of it all, the stealing, or the existence of our son. ExH's mother only said 'UA, Arsewipe is a man of the world'. Wtf does that mean? I will never know.

I am going to get ds's passport changed first thing back into his new name mine.
the court order will be with me within three working days according to the usher.

Theres so much more I would like to say but am going on the dswing now.

Please raise a glass.

And, message to any further children that Arsewipe produces in his foreign land, I hope he is a changed man and gives you love and happiness.

Five minutes eh? Grin
You see? He really is an arsewipe...

Raising a cuppa (pathetic), as all the wine is gone. Wink

Very congratulations, UA! Bet you do feel good (if a trifle tiddly) Grin

When the judge said Ds's new proper name is a bit of a mouthful, was he referring to "Unlikely-Fangazonian"???

UnlikelyFangazonian · 15/10/2010 19:24

Asterix Noble Hunter Chicoutimi-Jonquière Unlikely-fangazonian is a pretty stupid bloody name! I think the judge was right.
