Oh god help me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY DH has caught my cold and I swear to god he is acting like he is fg dying. Like an actual terminal illness.
I work full time and he is out of work at the moment due to being made redundant. So he is the parent at home and doing the school run etc at the minute. I just rang him and
I quote ? Oh I just keep walking into things, I feel so weak, I am going to have to try and get up off the sofa so I can make it round the school,. It might take me a while but I?ll make it.? All this in a really put on bunged up nose type voice. ? everything aches, I just need to rest but I cant oooohhhhhhmumble mumble????..?

OMFG !!!!!!!!!!!! I cant handle it. I swear to god we will end up breaking up by the end of the week if this is how he carries on. Its pathetic.

So I said ? oh will you be ok for Friday and driving ? ? ( as we are supposed to be going away for the weekend for my birthday) so he says ? I will have to be wont I !!!!!! Otherwise that will go down well wont it !!!!!!!!!!!!!? OMFG !!!!!! I hate it when he is ill. He is SUCH a dick ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Why are men like this ?? Why Why WHY ???

Get him some beechams plus and send him to bed when you get home
he'll soon perk up

BalloonSlayer · 28/09/2010 14:31

Don't worry.

He'll have a lightning recovery just as you go to bed, and he'll be all horny. Then he will be genuinely surprised that you are too tired - from running around after him all day - to be enthusiastic.

I hear you.

My dh is exactly the same, except he suffers heroically, letting me know frequently that although he may have flu/pneumonia he's still Carrying On.

But I have called his bluff, so to speak. I used to be the type to Soldier On but now I mope and call weakly for drinks, chocolate and hot baths to be drawn for me.

Sauce for the goose and all that.
