Do you think she's doing this on purpose? (my mum)

My mum is..... well I could write and rant all day bt will try to keep it short. She is a typical toxic parent.

My dad was an abusive, alcoholic paedophile who none of the family now have anything to do with.

I have a strained relationship with my mum very much on my own terms.

My dad always used to call me and my sisters things like flower or petal (yes we live in yorkshire) when we were kids but my mum never did. Now then whenever she texts or emails or writes a card she puts this instead of our names. Confused

She is maddening on all fronts to be honest (*) but this is riling me imparticular and my sister had moaned about it to me too recently so it's not just me she's doing it to or has noticed.

Oooh I need to stop because I can feel everything about to pour out and I don't want to bore you all Blush

(*) has had a phantom pregnancy, favours our youngest sister who treats my mum like shit and smokes weed day and night, talks about my dad at every opportunity even though we have all told my mum we don't want to discuss him, is negative about everything, self involved, needy, never has food in when she invites us over, etc etc.

All the things you've listed sound annoying but not toxic I would say. Your dad is the toxic/abusive parent. Why does she wind you up so much?

it sounds to me like you blame her for the abuse you may have received from your Dad.
