Date ideas: what's been your best?!

I've been seeing this guy for a few months and it's his birthday next friday. Now ignoring all the "should I be doing this at this stage" etc mind games stuff (which I'm not really bothered about).

We're going on a "date" organised by me, until now nearly all the dates have been his thing and they're always really fun and a little bit soppy sometimes but not too soppy if that makes sense?

So we're going for dinner (I know he has wanted to go here for ages) @ 7.30pm and then after that I want us to do something, but I don't know what that something is?

So what's been your best date night?

PS> am regular but changed names, I'm not really a soppy person usually don't want anyone getting confused Wink

Do people still date after a few months? I thought after the first shag we all just settled down to paying the rent.

To be honest if you eating at 7:30 it'll be nine by the time you leave - so a club sounds best. Unless you live somewhere with a river then a walk by it sounds like a plan.

I nearly cried from laughter after reading this "I thought after the first shag we all just settled down to paying the rent."

Heh.

Best date night involved going to a live jazz club. Between the great music, the good food and sitting in a dimly lit corner which allowed for a lot of kissing without inconveniencing other diners, I had the best time ever!

I don't know about where you are but the weather in Surrey isn't too great. Cold, wet and windy so I hope that doesn't ruin your night.

Walk on the beach at midnight, blanket in the park to watch the stars, etc

My best date was blanket, park, stars, champagne and candles, so as frenchfancy says. Mind you, we're women, maybe he'd just prefer a load of beers and a BJ Grin

My best date involved dropping off our bags at the hotel then going straight up the Empire State Building to see our first view of Manhattan at night - mind you this was a fortnight ago with my husband of 25 years! Grin

Ah malificence you are just showing off! Grin

A lovely meal, wine, followed by being shagged senseless on the hotel roof Grin

And reader, I married him....:)
