seriously - where are all the men?

from a thread i have in chat where im generally feeling a bit sorry for myself.

nother poster asked if i come into contact with men day to day.

i do not, i dont come into contact with any men, which is i supose, not surprisingly why im still single 2 years down the line.

ive been out to a club once in a year and did not get chatted up, other than that i dont tend to go out places with men either.

i go round friends, or to the cinema, or for something to eat. All places where noone will just come up and talk to me.

i cant afford regualr babysitters to join an evening class or anything... so - what do i do to change this?

Can you do a babysit exchange with any friends so that you can get evenings out?
If you go to the cinema then go to the pub afterwards to talk about the film, or if you eat out do it somewhere informal with a bar area. Can your friends set you up with blind dates?
And there's the internet, of course.

It's 25 years since I dated anyone except DW but we have a close friend who was lost for a bit recently after it turned out that her husband was a lying git (learning experience for us all that - previously we'd thought he was a super bloke).

As a last resort she started using internet dating sites and the whole thing worked for her. She met heaps of new blokes, radically improved her sex life and is now settling into a new relationship. Go for it would be my advice and if it's of any interest match.com was the one that worked for her.
