Good luck.

Don't what made you buy it or what your back story is but this will be the start of a journey for you, I am sure.

I read "controlling parents" earlier this year and it was a revelation to me. Made me see things from my childhood for the first time and made me really re-valuate who I am and how I behave.

Do keep us updated if you feel able.

Thank you bigbadmummy.

Things are very confused in my head about my relationship with my parents atm. Reading things on mn has made me realise that our relationship is not a healthy one.

I have posted about my dad on here a few months ago.

I just don't want to repeat the behaviour with my children IYSWIM

I know exactly what you mean.

I didnt even realise I had an issue until I was presented with that book, by my dad who is doing his own soul-searchign about his childhood.

Its a tough journey to go on, we rarely look inward. But a journey has to start with a single step and you buying that book is yours.

Good luck with it and if you need support as you read through it you know that this is the place for that!
