do they not think we have enough to cope with, without their petty little ramblings

" Oh their down lets kick them further"

I am just about to lose my marbles with them, infact i feel physically sick today at the thought of ever having to speak to my in-laws again

what happened?

crystaltips · 30/08/2005 07:34

Fio2 - I have been away from Mumsnet for a while ( back - now that the kids ar back at school ) and have not followed your problems .... however I can empathise with the "in-law problems"
Mine are a total nightmare ....

$ years ago ( literally to the day ) I cut them out of my life ... DH and the kids still see them ... but I do feel so much better because of it. This may not be an option for you ...

SO all I can say is {{{{HUGS}}}}

i am too angry to even comprehend what i will write. My MIL rang my husband yesterday to just put him down and I am so angry. he answered her back for the first time since I have ever met him and she told him she thought he was a "sarcastic weirdo" because he was so consumed with anger about our daughters problems

honestly i just want to cry, why do people have to be so bloody nasty and cruel?

Some people are just selfish they can't see past their own sad little lives.

suzywong · 30/08/2005 07:37

I would think as well if she thinks that her own son is a wierdo then what does that say about her?! She brought him up!

Some people are lacking in understanding and love. She sounds really mean.

eidsvold · 30/08/2005 11:45

don't get sick - get made and do some spring cleaning. WHat a toxic woman - to think that of her own son and not to even appreciate that he has a right to be angry about Mini Fio issues.

Good for Dh though on standing up to her.... sometimes it is hard but a few years ago I came to the conclusion that if people did not enhance my life then they were not worth having in my life - especially those that were dragging and putting me down. I deserved better than that in my life.

Sorry to hear that they are giving you a tough time. As if you don't have enough on your plate to deal with - this is out of order.
