Being treated like a 12 year old

My Mum is great at the best of time but she has the most annoying habit of telling me what to do, i.e.
"Don't forget to write a thank you letter to Auntie Mildred."
"You really need to send a photo of the children to Gran - she keeps asking me about it."
etc.

I'm thoughtful and highly organised (far more organised than my Mum) so it annoys the heck out of me. As I'm also 42, I don't think it's really necessary anymore. Trouble is, when I've challenged her about it in the past and it always ends up in a row.

Any suggestions on the best way to handle it? I feel like I need to get this sorted once and for all!!!

expect her to do it and then it won't annoy you?

try to think of it as endearing?

I really doubt you'll get her to stop :-(

Just say 'yes mum' and carry on doing what you were doing. It's no biggie.
