How can I forgive my husband?

I don't trust my husband at all - he told me he slept with someone when our ds was small. He then told me he lied, and I have discovered he likes to dress up himself. He leaves work early some days and I don't know where he is. But, he thinks that I over-react and think too much. It looks like I cannot forgive him and I worry as to what he is up to. Do people ever get over this sort of betrayal or is it really over?

How long have you known for? I'm afraid for me, trust is vital in a relationship and I think it is very very difficult to regain it if its been broken.

because I found an outfit he told me about the fling last summer - and the dress up in December last year. He thinks I should get over the bit about the fling - because he did not really have an affair - but did not want to tell me the outfit was his.

He is petrified that I am going to tell his secret to the world - and has since been mentally abusive to me. He also is worried and not sleeping very well. Everything is always my fault - regardless of whether I have a good reason to be annoyed with him.

We have a ds and another baby on the way.

I guess if you have decided to have another child after you found out about the fling, you must have hoped that you would be able to forgive him.

Do you feel any better now? Have you considered having counselling? How do you feel about the dressing up? Not sure what you mean he is dressing up as but presumably he is embarrassed by it.

It does sound like things are not good between you and another DC only puts more pressure on a relationship.
