Do you take it turns to be the grouch in your relationship?

We're both quite stressed atm due to moving house. All through the conveyancing bit it was DH who was growling and grumping and me that was getting stuff done and keeping a smile pinned to my face, jollying him along. Now it's done and dusted (more or less) I've started sagging a bit. The packing and uncertainty is getting to me and I've been in tears and ratty. DH has been brilliant, really supportive and gentle.

This happens all the time with us.

Do you find that? There is usually one that seems to be the carrier and one that needs carrying. And it changes from time to time?

Yep. And I feel very aggrieved when it is clearly My Turn and he gets in first with a grump. Hmmph. The cheek of it.

Yes, thank goodness! Its a healthy thing, I think anyway.

Yes I recognise that tortoise. When we are both grouchy at the same time it can be quite bad.

I suppose it is normal. It's just a shame that the times when we are little rays of sunhshine together are rare as hen's teeth.

I too do recognise this. I just wish he was better at the carrying bit he can be at times rather unthoughtful.

Definitely! It's a running joke with us and IMO something that makes us super strong, we both just say outright with a sense of humour when we're in a grump and the other knows to be gentle.

Grumps come and go fairly randomly in my house, I think without understanding they would be the cause of major ruckus.
