In laws....Grrrrrr.....

I have had nothing but problems with my in-laws since I got together with my dh......his mother thinks no-one is good enough for him and they have done nothing but try 2 cause trouble between me and dh , luckily we are strong but still it hurts we did cut them out of our lives for 2 years but are now in-touch again.....anyone else in a similar position.......?

Oh yes, no doubt of that, plenty of us are in your same position, or well, were, at least in my case, I have stoped contact with the woman and since then things are better though a lot of damage is already done.

yes we have had this with DH sister and most recently his mother who he got in touch with after nearly 20 years, he has just written her a letter saying he doesnt want to see her anymore have a look at my MIL...GRRR thread

Wish I could cut my MIL out of my life....I find her so hard to deal with & feel as though i'm not good enough for her son.
Things have always been this way and now ds is here I can't forget the past iykwim. I can't stand the fact that she wants to be gm to ds when she can't even give me the time of day. DH never seems to come on my side which is upsetting but i'm stuck in a hole. Suppose I can either sit there and take it or climb out and walk away.

When dh and I first got together 12 yrs ago (and he was db) we asked to borrow money from his mum to pay for him to go to dentist. She said I should pay as I was obviously not feeding him a nutritious diet, he hadnt had to have any work on his teeth when she was feeding him! Things havent really improved much from there.....
